Monsanto Cotton Branding
Monsanto Australia had a number of brands that fall under their cotton offering, but no real Monsanto corporate cotton branding. The challenge was to create an ownable, iconic brand that links the different cotton communications within the Monsanto family.
The rough hand-drawn execution of the cotton boll contrasts with the precise and strong hard edges of the box placed over the top of it creating a strong visual anchor. It symbolises the collision of the very real and natural aspect of farming and the precise technology and research behind Monsanto cotton. You will also notice that the cotton thread never terminates – it always continues on – a metaphor for Monsanto’s ongoing commitment to cotton.
The typography is bold and confident, a reflection of Monsanto’s strength and dedication to the cotton industry. It demands attention.
