20 Years GM Crops
2016 marks the 20th anniversary of GM crops being grown in Australia. Monsanto wanted to use this opportunity to not only celebrate the achievements of GM crops but to also educate the wider agricultural community on the benefits and truths of growing GM crops in Australia.
My brief was to create a logo and accompanying brand that celebrates the combined efforts of researchers and growers in the achievements of GM crops.
I created a brand with a strong focus on technology. The brand is bold and proud about the accomplishments of GM technology in the agricultural field. Graphics and imagery symbolise the merging of science and the natural earth working together harmoniously. The logo itself is a visual collision of a strand of DNA and a seedling coming up from the ground surrounded by the words ‘Advancing Farming. Improving lives’. This represents both the science at the beginning, the growers and ultimately consumers at the other end.
